Goodbye Turkey!

Bosphorus Ferry Tour

Yesterday was very nice, I headed to Taksim and met up with Semih for lunch and said our goodbyes and then headed back towards my hostel to start the painful process of packing.
In the evening I headed over to talk to my friends at the four seasons hotel around the corner and spent about 2-3 hours chatting. Last night they were so kind, after about an hour or hour and a half of talking they invited me inside and gave me some wonderful warm chocolate pastries and a drink and let me use their laptop in the lobby for a while.
The people that work there are really great, and it isn't because I'm a guest or anything, but just person to person they are great people. I hope that some of them come to Canada to visit... One person whom I talked to the most over the past few weeks was Memhet Ali and he is coming up on a really exciting time... His wife is going to give birth to their baby daughter in three more months and he is just glowing with excitement everytime he talks about it.
Last night we took some pictures of us together on his mobile phone and he'll e-mail them to me later... I'll be sure to post them on the flickr site and blog when they arrive.
But today is all about Egypt... Can you believe I'll be in Egypt tonight? WOW.
Goodbye Turkey, you have been amazing and I just love your country. I really hope I have the opportunity to come back when the weather is warmer and see even more of the country.
