Hiking around Corfu Greece
This morning I went for about a 3-4 hour hike around the hostel and the views are just amazing. There are two dogs that live at the hostel and when I started to walk down the road they followed me... They followed for the whole walk!
This stupid little one went ape-shit everytime he saw another animal... He chased roosters, cats, goats.... It was priceless, but I don't think the locals thought it was all that funny.
So I was thinking of leaving tomorrow, and had paid for the two nights, but I was talking to the staff, and if you stay the 4th night, you get a 5th night free. So its a little more expensive that I like in a hostel, but if you take in to effect the additional day it drops the price down to a little more normal.
Plus it comes with free breakfast and dinner... Last night the dinner was really great, a home-made soup, lush salad, and leg and thigh of chicken with beans and roast potatoe... Not anything canned or frozen but really great home-made type food which was very enjoyable.
So I was a little bastard today, I called my parents at which I thought was 5:30am... sure it's early, but tee-hee it's sort of funny. Well, I forgot yesterday that I passed another time zone, so it was actually 4:30am LOL. I think its been about a month and something since I last spoke to them... I've only called them from Holland, Germany, and Today from Greece.
My mom was saying that the neighbour is going to India in February to take care of some family business, and that she threw the idea out there that my mom should go-with. I think that would be pretty cool to meet up with my mom in India for a couple of weeks. I think Turkey and India will be longer stays that my past countries... India almost certainly, I've been looking forward to going there for years but with the military and before that being a poor bastard it never really came to fruition.
So anyways, it's almost time for the Sunset and I think I'm going to walk down to the beach and lay on one of those chair things and just watch the sun go down... Maybe take a beer with me. Its a rough job being an international hobo, but someone needs to do it.
I got an e-mail from Shaun, the Oil Rig worker I met in Prague and drank large amounts of beer with... He is back on the rigs and complaining about the price of the West and how smokes are up to 6 Quid a pack. Thats huge money to smoke LOL.
Anyways, outty!
