If you just want to relax and enjoy the slow paced coastal life, this is a great place to do it.

I got an apartment for 10€ a night with an amazing view of the beach and castle (stari grad)... Balcony with a couple chairs and a table... There was a little stove / kitchen in the hallway and a fridge in each room. Orange, kiwi, limes all growing around you... Took a couple of really layed back days.

I think I had my first orange directly off the tree, which is pretty cool... And the sun-sets over the adriatic are so quick... From the time the sun touches the horizon, until it is down is 15-17 minutes, you really 'see' it moving...
