Trying Some Tuna - Am I allergic??
So I bought this can of Tuna not too long ago, because I figured I should try some different seafoods to see what I'm allergic to. I know for a fact, that fresh water fish is a no-no. I went to the allergy doctor a little while ago and found out some rather interesting results.
So according to several different websites, Tuna is the least allergenic of all scaley type salt water fish.
So here is what I've been doing:
- put a little dab of tuna juice on forearm to see if there was a skin reaction
- put a little dab of juice on lip
- put a small piece of tuna on inside of lip (between lip/teeth)
- put a small piece in mouth and chewed it up a bit (then spit out meat)
- put a small piece in mouth and chewed and swallowed it
Anyways, I'm try this today, my touch isn't tingling, no swelling, and generally feel ok.
Think this is dumb? Also see my hot peppers adventure: page1 and page2
PS: I have an epi-pen handy just in case!

Sometimes I worry about you...actually, i think I worry about me more. You do these crazy things, and then have "logical" explanations, and i find myself thinking "Hey, thats acually pretty smart". Lol. But then again, im a little nuts too...I mean I did say on my blog that we should raise the taxes. Lol
LOL.
Well, It's not really stupid... I've done "stupid" things, this is a preventative stupidity. I figure it is smart in fact to identify allergies and my bodies response to them now, rather than in the middle of no where, on the other side of the globe :)
So far I've now consumed 60g of canned Tuna, now I mixed a bit of mayo and put it on toast. You know, it really does taste like chicken.
it doesnt taste like chicken, it tastes like bum. Tuna is nasty. Actually, seafood is gross period.
Maybe to Miss Vegan...
I've cut my meat products down like mad in the couple months
Im not a vegan!
I choose to eat all natural, organic foods whenever I can. That doesnt mean I don't have milk and eggs and such, i just have them from animals that havent ingested chemicals or anything
The thing peta makes a big fuss over is milk.... basically that all animals drink milk during infancy, but stop after that, and no animals drink the milk of animals that aren't their own kind... so the whole milk industry is one big gross thing... lol I guess it sorta makes sense... I drink soy milk most of the time anyway to be honest.. I bought it by mistake a few years ago and it was pretty good.
I also drink soy milk, but its been proven that milk is good for you, so therefore i drink that as well. However, I drink milk that hasnt been all icky and treated with 40 gazillion chemicals...
