Pristine Water Purification

I've purchased a few packs of this pristine water purification system in the hopes that I won't die or get sick from some nasty water bourne virus or bacteria. I've asked around to a few people and they all say it is some pretty good stuff, and I like the idea of not carrying a big filter around for a year or more. Each one of these packs is good for about 30 Gallons so it should last me a little while as I do it by the litre. I shouldn't have to use it for most of western europe.

Pristine has a pretty informative website, as long as it is only half hype I should be ok. I'm thinking of taking pictures of all my individual pieces of camping gear, the back pack, sleeping bag, tent, and all that fun stuff so everyone will know what I've got and how much weight I am going to try and carry. I would assume that as I am traveling that I will toss away some things, and acquire new things to suit my needs.
